What is your favorite distance and why?

My favorite distance is the marathon because people always freak out when you say you are about to run one.

What do you struggle with most in running?

I struggle most with consistency running week to week.

Do you rotate shoes and if so what is in your current rotation?

I do not have a rotation on my shoes.

Do you have a mantra that you use when you are racing/training?

My mantra is “suck it up cupcake”.

Do you ever feel unmotivated to train and if so how do you overcome it?

Yes I have been very unmotivated and I try to run with people more often and read a running book.

What is the best thing running has given you?

The best thing running has given me is all the people I have met.

What is your favorite race you have participated in and why?

The Boston Marathon 2018 because I had a good training cycle and it showed on that day, and because it’s THE BOSTON MARATHON!

How did you get started in running?

I got started with running when I was 9 and my soccer coach told my dad that I had some good lungs.

What is your favorite running workout?

The Michigan (I am still a Buckeye fan though)

How many marathons have you run?

Who is your favorite professional runner?

Meb has to be my favorite, he is an all-around fantastic guy.

What are the craziest race conditions you have had to endure?

I ran in blizzard-like conditions with 20-30 mph winds running a mile in high school.

Do you have a goal race you haven’t done yet and why do you want to do it?

I want to run the NYC in 2019 to complete the US Majors.

Do you listen to music while you run and if so, what music gets you pumped up for a race?

I never listen to music during my races but on long runs, I listen to Ain’t Gonna Die Tonight by Macklemore.
